Long Beach State’s AD claims he fired coach Dan Monson ‘to inspire team’
Bobby Smitheran told the AP on Thursday before the school's round of 64 loss to Arizona that he fired coach Dan Monson in hopes it would trigger the exact run on that the team went on.
